Tara Howerton has been hired as an advanced practice registered nurse at Washington Regional Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Clinic in Fayetteville.

Howerton has more than five years of experience. She previously was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, serving as a pharmacy technician. Most recently, she was a clinical transfer coordinator at the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks.

Howerton received her Master of Science in nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Northeastern Oklahoma University.

Marsha Crader has been named a fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Crader is an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She has served at the UAMS College of Pharmacy since 2005 and is the pharmacy lead of the antimicrobial stewardship program at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Crader earned her doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Louisiana Monroe College of Pharmacy.
