Huckabee’s Radio Show: Arkansas Schedule Excludes Little Rock

1 min read

“The Mike Huckabee Show” debuted April 9 on about 180 radio stations in the U.S.

The daily three-hour radio program, which the former Arkansas governor and 2008 candidate for the Republican presidential nominee hosts, features guests who debate Huckabee on a range of topics, as well as listener calls.

Cumulus Media of Atlanta, owner of news and talk stations KFAY-AM, 1030, in Fayetteville and KARN-AM, 920, in Little Rock, syndicates the live talk show.

The program airs live 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on KBHS-AM, 1420, in Hot Springs, and at the same time on KXAR-AM, 1490, in Huckabee’s birthplace, Hope.

The show is recorded and airs later  at 2-5 p.m. on KELD-FM, 106.5, in El Dorado and 9 p.m.-midnight on KFAY.

A Cumulus spokeswoman declined to say whether the show would eventually air in Little Rock.

However, Neal Gladner, general manager of Little Rock’s KKSP-FM, 93.3, said he inquired about providing the show on his station. Crain Media Group of Sherwood owns KKSP. Cumulus said it was saving the show for the station it owns and operates in the market, Gladner said.

KARN, the station Cumulus owns in Little Rock, has not added Huckabee’s show to its schedule.

“It’s actually shocking to a lot of people that they’re not airing it,” Gladner said.
