The Illumina laser projection system from Power Technology Inc. of Alexander has made it all the way to New York, New York. (This is us, spreading the news.)
Illumina is PTI’s laser-based light system for movie projectors that was launched last year and debuted at Little Rock’s Ron Robinson Theater downtown. The Illumina system is being used as the illumination source for the NEC high-output lumen cinema projector, and it was on display earlier this month as part of New York Digital Signage Week.
NEC Display Solutions of America is a leading manufacturer of LCD monitors, projectors and other means of display, including graphics and digital signage. The NEC Partner Showcase was part of the big week in the Big Apple.
Walter Burgess, PTI’s vice president of engineering, said the NEC projector and Illumina demonstrated the crisp images that will “drive the next generation of digital cinema projectors.”
