It looks like the IRS was busy right up until the federal government closed its doors earlier this month.
In September, the IRS filed a flurry of six-figure tax liens against these people in Little Rock:
- Thomas M. Gillum, $938,633, for not paying 1040 taxes between 1997 and 2002. The IRS filed the liens against him years ago, but had to refile them to keep them in force.
- David Barnett, $135,509, for unpaid taxes between 2007 and 2008.
- Paul W. Combs, $126,738, for unpaid taxes between 2002 and 2003.
- Eugene Eberle III, $120,838, for unpaid taxes between 2009 and 2012.
We couldn’t reach any of the targets of the liens.
