A rendering of the Jacksonville Pump Track
Jacksonville has announced plans to build a pump track at Dupree Park, with construction set to begin in the next few months.
A pump track is a paved track for wheeled sports equipment that allows a riders to participate without having to pedal or push. In a news release, Jacksonville said its track is designed for bicycles, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, and longboards.
This track will feature 542 feet of paved track, along with slopes, platforms and wallrides surrounded by just over 16,000 SF of turf grass.
A similar pump track opened in January 2022 at Big Rock Quarry in North Little Rock.
