Jacqueline Brightwell to Lead Bradbury Art Museum

Jacqueline Brightwell will succeed Les Christensen as director of the Bradbury Art Museum, Arkansas State University in Jonesboro announced Monday.

Christensen is retiring from A-State following a 21-year career that includes serving as director of the arts facility, known since 2015 as the Bradbury Art Museum, in the Fowler Center on campus.

Brightwell has worked closely with Christensen for the past six years, most recently serving as assistant director.  

Brightwell began working at BAM in August 2013 while finishing her bachelor’s degree in graphic design. She was hired on as a full-time graphic designer in 2015, and one of her first projects was helping establish the Bradbury Art Museum’s visual identity. 

Brightwell was promoted to assistant director in 2017.
