The price tag for the sale of James at the Mill restaurant and the Inn at the Mill was $4.2 million.
Chef Miles James and his wife, Courtney, sold the 10,000-SF restaurant and the 46-room inn that he opened 23 years ago to Johnson Mills Ventures LLC, led by Jesse Burkes and John Stewart. Burkes is the longtime general manager of the inn, which opened in 1991, three years before the restaurant.
Burkes said he plans to convert the restaurant, which closed July 29, into additional rooms for the inn.
First State Bank of Fayetteville provided a loan of about $4.2 million.

Country Club Offices
Two adjoining commercial centers in Springdale sold for $5.66 million.
WRM Holdings LLC, led by William McCullough, bought the Country Club Plaza and Country Club Center, which cover more than 4.5 acres on South Thompson Street, opposite the Springdale Country Club. The two centers have five office and commercial buildings that total nearly 50,000 SF.
WM 57 SPV2 LLC, a subsidiary of the private investment firm WM Capital Partners of New York City, was the seller. Generations Bank assisted the purchase with a loan of $4.76 million.
Maria H. Apartments
The Maria H. Apartments of Fayetteville sold for $5.25 million.
Sweetser Family LP, led by William and Michael Sweetser, bought the 104-unit apartment on Melmar Drive. The complex, just off Garland Avenue, covers about 6 acres and totals 87,000 SF.
Garland Heights LLC, a group led by Maynard Anderson, Matthew Duffy, Doug Tyler and Bleaux Barnes, was the seller.
BancorpSouth Bank of Tupelo, Mississippi, assisted the purchase with a loan of $5.25 million.
Former Simmons Bank
A former Simmons Bank location on the border of Springdale and Fayetteville sold for $1.5 million.
Christopher and Steven Dale of Russellville bought the property through their Dale Brothers of Northwest Arkansas # One LLC. The 9,800-SF building is at 5106 S. Thompson, also known as Highway 71 Business, in Springdale, across from Lake Fayetteville.
The seller was Arkansas Federal Credit Union of Jacksonville, which acquired the property in 2014 after Simmons closed the bank after its purchase of Metropolitan National Bank.
Regions Bank of Birmingham, Alabama, provided a loan of more than $4.7 million.
South Hills Apartments
A Fort Smith investment group paid $975,000 for an apartment complex on South Hill Avenue in Fayetteville.
Creek Capital Partners LLC, led by the Steve Creekmore Jr. family, bought the 11-unit South Hills Apartment complex, which also has a 1,500-SF single-family house on the three-parcel property, which covers a little less than 1 acre.
The seller was Niblock Ventures Inc., led by George Niblock Jr. The apartment units have been in the Niblock family since 1989, and George Niblock Jr. bought the single-family home for $186,000 in 2015.
Fayetteville Car Wash
A 2-acre Spot-Not Car Wash on Crossover Road in east Fayetteville sold for $950,000.
Arfay Crossover LLC, led by Christian Baldwin of the McLain Group, a business broker located in downtown Fayetteville, bought the property from DKD265 Inc. DKD 265 is led by William Kennedy, Gary Dandy and Marvin Dandy.
Simmons Bank assisted the purchase with a $2.55 million construction loan.
Fayetteville Law Office
A 7,276-SF law office on East Center Street in downtown Fayetteville sold for $782,000.
G Squared LLC, led by Gregory House, bought the two-story building, just off the downtown square. Chambers Bank of Danville provided a loan of $640,000.
Lamar and Donna Pettus sold one-third ownership in the property, as did Ronald and Marsha Choate Woodruff. The remaining third was sold by Wyma Pearson, Paul and Eileen Alexander and Linda and C.R Bell.
