Four employees in the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Academic Affairs Retention Office have earned the academic coaching certification from the Association for the Coaching & Tutoring Profession. Dr. Nicholas D. Tingquist has been hired as an assistant professor in the Division of Thoracic Surgery in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences of Little Rock. He previously completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Dirk McCoy has been hired as regional director of donor relations at Lifewater International of Bentonville. He previously served in positions at GTE, AG Communications Systems, Hytel Group and Spendbot.
Dr. Ankur Varma has been hired as hematologist oncologist at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute of Little Rock. He previously was an assistant professor of bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy at Rush University.
Raymond Long has been hired as corporate giving program officer at Arkansas Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Little Rock. He previously was CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas.
