Ark Angel Alliance, an angel investor group that aims to grow Arkansas-based companies, announced Jeff Amerine as its new board chair on Monday.
Based in Little Rock, Ark Angel Alliance connects accredited investors with early-stage ventures, supporting entrepreneurs as they build and grow their businesses in Arkansas. With more than $4 million invested in its portfolio of companies, the alliance also provides members with educational and networking opportunities to enhance investment knowledge and foster community engagement.
Amerine is the founder and managing director at Startup Junkie Consulting of Fayetteville, with extensive experience in venture creation and investment. He has made more than 90 venture investments and led multiple entrepreneurial initiatives.
“Ark Angel Alliance is making a difference by connecting investors with promising local startups and fostering the growth of Arkansas’ entrepreneurial ecosystem,” Amerine said in a press release. “I’m honored to lead the organization as we continue to support the next generation of business leaders in our state.”
Ark Angel Alliance’s mission includes providing a member-driven marketplace to link investors with high-potential early-stage ventures while offering education and networking opportunities that enhance the investor experience.
Amerine succeeds Amy Hopper Swan, who will transition to the role of chair emeritus.
“The Ark Angel Alliance has grown significantly in its impact over the years,” Swan said in the release. “I’m excited to see Jeff take the helm and bring new energy to our efforts in supporting Arkansas entrepreneurs.”
