Jeff Fox Moving to Executive Chairman Position at Convergys

Convergys Corp. of Cincinnati announced Tuesday that Jeff Fox of Little Rock will move from the CEO position to executive chairman of the board later this year.

Fox, former COO of Alltel Corp. and a principal in The Circumference Group of Little Rock, was named CEO of publicly traded Convergys (NYSE:%%CVG%%) in February 2010. He had been on the board of directors for a year at that point and originally intended to stay in the job only one year.

According to the announcement, he will be succeeded as CEO by Andrea Ayers, currently president and COO of customer management for the technology company that specializes in customer relationship management.

Convergys also announced its first-quarter results on Tuesday: Net income of $26.1 million on revenue of $497.5 million. That compares with income of $34.9 million on revenue of $458.5 million in the first quarter of 2011.
