First Orion, the branded communications and call protection company in North Little Rock, is promoting Joe Stinziano to president and CEO, succeeding Charles Morgan.
The promotion will take effect May 1.
Morgan, known for building CCX, later renamed Acxiom, into a global data powerhouse, will continue as chairman of First Orion’s board of directors and its executive committee, where “his influential presence will continue to shape the company’s technological landscape and strategy,” a company news release said.
Morgan said in a statement that Stinziano’s leadership has been instrumental since he joined the company as president and chief operating officer in July 2022. “First Orion is the birthplace of branded communications and I am confident in Joe’s ability to lead our talented team towards a future rich with advancement and growth,” Morgan said. “While I step back from the daily operations, I will remain deeply engaged, dedicating my efforts to guiding technology development with our leaders.”
Morgan credited Stinziano’s “fast-thinking approach” to First Orion’s success in developing technologies to safeguard consumer privacy, enhance corporate communications strategies and bring transparency to communications. Milestones like the expansion of First Orion’s “INFORM branded calling and “out-of band solutions such as INFORMED PAIRED and SENTRY” helped First Orion establish itself as a leader in enhancing trust in transparency in global communications, the release said.
Stinziano said he was deeply honored to lead First Orion. “We have a fantastic foundation, incredible team members and a clear mission to drive the future of transparent communication,” he said in the release. “I am committed to upholding our tradition of innovation and excellence that Charles has led over the past 16 years.”
Stinziano has 35 years of experience, including 12 years as a corporate executive vice president at Samsung Electronics America. He also held positions at AT&T, Sony Electronics and D&M Holdings, the company said.
Beyond building up Acxiom and First Horizon, Morgan is known for his advocacy of science education and support for the Arkansas Center for Data Sciences.
