Matt Matusiak has been hired as an associate dean for faculty, technology and accreditation in the College of Business, Health & Human Services at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Dr. Kathy Parker has been hired as an internal medicine specialist at Dardanelle Regional Medical Clinic.

Dr. Sam R. Dalvi, professor and director of the Division of Rheumatology & Immunology in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences of Little Rock, has been invested in the Eleanor A. Lipsmeyer, M.D., Endowed Professorship in Rheumatology. Dr. Jamie Cannon has been hired at the Division of Colorectal Surgery at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute of Little Rock. Cannon has performed more robotic-assisted colorectal surgeries than any other female surgeon in the country, and the second most among all academic surgeons. Dr. Gilbert-Roy Kamoga has been hired as an internist in the UAMS Health Internal Medicine Clinic in Fayetteville.

Josh Conlee has been named senior vice president of strategic services at St. Bernards Healthcare of Jonesboro. Before joining St. Bernards, he spent five years as president of Lawrence Healthcare in Walnut Ridge.

Wes Ward, the Arkansas secretary of agriculture, has been elected president of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture of Arlington, Virginia. Ward is the first Arkansas secretary of agriculture to hold this national position.
Ted Mullenix, CEO of Mullenix & Associates of Little Rock, has been elected to serve on the board of directors for the National Association of State Lobbyists of Annapolis, Maryland. Mullenix will continue to chair the group’s public relations, website and member announcement committee.

Jonathan Taylor, executive director of the Arkansas Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities, has been appointed to serve a two-year term on the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities of Washington, D.C.

Brett Mahan, an engineer intern with three years of experience in the land development and public works disciplines, has been hired by Crist Engineers Inc. of Little Rock.

Karen Savell has been hired as assistant vice president of loan support at First Community Bank of Batesville.

Sean Crim has been appointed as manager of First Community Bank of Batesville’s Southside branch, and Kim Sours has been relocated to serve as manager at First Community’s branch on Eagle Mountain Boulevard in Batesville.

Susan Reed has been hired as managing director by Crews & Associates of Little Rock. Reed is an investment banker on the public finance team based in the Indianapolis office.
Kirk Welch has been hired as a supply chain manager at Tipton & Hurst of Little Rock. Other new hires are Kim Zeese as floral operations manager, Joe Floriani as human resources manager and Jessica Hammond as floral designer.

Cliff McKinney II, a managing member of Quattlebaum Grooms & Tull PLLC in Little Rock, has been inducted as a fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys of Rockville, Maryland.

Melissa Gage has been named the new vice president of regulatory affairs and finance at Southwestern Electric Power Co. of Shreveport. Gage will operate throughout Swepco’s service area, which encompasses Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas, and will be primarily based at the offices of American Electric Power in Austin, Texas.
