Moses Tucker Real Estate announced Tuesday that the K Lofts apartments at 315 Main St. in downtown Little Rock are complete and will start leasing in October under a new name, Mulberry Flats.
The K Lofts and another project by developer Scott Reed of Portland, Oregon, stalled, and general contractor AMR Construction LLC of Little Rock filed lien claims for unpaid work totaling more than $1.3 million against K Lofts and Main Street Lofts at 510-524 S. Main St.
But the K Lofts got a restart earlier this year when a new lender and contractor took over the project.
Now called Mulberry Flats, the five-story building has 32 apartments. Thirty-one of them are one-bedroom, one-bath units that range in size from 550 SF to 721 SF. Rents start at $780 a month. There is also a two-bedroom unit on the second floor.
Moses Tucker has been retained to lease and manage the property.
Repainting the existing K Lofts logo at the top of the building with the new Mulberry Flats logo has started and will be completed next week, according to news release.
Moses Tucker also announced that a neighborhood bar and grill will occupy the first floor and basement formerly leased to Club Level. Renovations began Saturday and are expected to wrap up within about 30 days. The new Brewski’s Pub & Grub will have local craft beer, signature cocktails and elevated pub fare.
The news release calls the new name for the apartments “historic” because, in early 19th century Little Rock, Second Street was Cherry Street, Third Street was Mulberry, Fourth Street was Walnut and Fifth Street was Orange.
