Cameron Smith of Cameron Smith Associates of Rogers and Karen Fetzer of the Rotary Club of Little Rock won executive of the year awards at Thursday’s 27th annual Arkansas Business of the Year Awards at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock.
Each year, Arkansas Business Publishing Group sponsors the awards to honor businesses in three categories related to number of employees as well as business executives, nonprofit executives and nonprofit organizations in Arkansas.

Smith received the Business Executive of the Year Award for his work at Cameron Smith Associates, a corporate recruiting firm that has grown to become the top provider of executive talent to the almost 1,400 vendors in northwest Arkansas doing business with Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
Fetzer received the Nonprofit Executive of the Year Award for her work with the Rotary Club of Little Rock, which supports, both financially and through volunteerism, a variety of programs and projects in the community, including the Miracle League and Camp Aldersgate.
Other winners at Thursday night’s event:
- Galley Support Innovations of Sherwood in Category I (1-25 employees)
- Gearhead Outfitters of Jonesboro in Category II (26-75 employees)
- Collective Bias of Rogers in Category III (75-300 employees)
- Our House of Little Rock was named Nonprofit Organization of the Year.
Arkansas Business readers nominate businesses, executives and nonprofits for the awards, and an independent panel of judges determines the winners.
