The combined newsroom of KARK-TV, Channel 4, and KLRT-TV, Channel 16, has announced the addition of three reporters and a new host for its Sunday political program.
News Director Austin Kellerman said in an email that all three reporters will be on the air by the end of August.
David Cawton was the first arrival and started earlier this month. Cawton previously worked at KTVE/KARD, a Nexstar newsroom out of Monroe, Louisiana. (The KARK/KLRT newsroom is also operated by Nexstar.)
Jonathan Rozelle will be moving from the newsroom of KHBS-TV and KHOG-TV, Channels 40/29 of Fort Smith and Fayetteville, the first week of August. Rozelle had worked at 40/29 since July 2013.
The third new reporter will be Isabelle Moller, who arrives at the end of August. Moller will make the move from WFFT, a Nexstar-owned Fox affiliate in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Kellerman said Drew Petrimoulx has also been named the new host of “Capitol View,” the newsroom’s Sunday political program. Bob Clausen has filled in on the show since David Goins departed for WFAA in Dallas earlier this year.
In the northwest part of the state, KNWA-TV anchor Jonathan Martinez is leaving the station for Houston.
Martinez, who is from nearby Gal-veston, Texas, is taking a job as a weekend anchor at NBC-affiliate KPRC.
KNWA General Manager Lisa Kelsey said in a statement: “Jonathan has been a delight to work with these past three years. He really took to our newsroom and our community with a passion that will be missed. But we are proud of his accomplishments and this next move in his career.”
