Kevin Lewis, the former Little Rock lawyer whose $40 million-plus fraud was the largest ever prosecuted in Arkansas, was supposed to report to federal prison on Tuesday to begin serving the 10-year sentence imposed back in December.
The delay between sentencing and incarceration was fairly long anyway, granted at the request of Lewis’ attorney, Tim Dudley, because Lewis’ father, Harold Lewis of Searcy, is terminally ill.
But last week U.S. District Judge James Moody agreed to push back Lewis’ report date to March 12 because, as Dudley told the court, "it is a certainty that defendant will not see his father again once he reports to prison."
