Kevin Lewis Reports to Memphis Prison

1 min read

Kevin Lewis started serving his 10-year federal prison sentence Monday for masterminding the biggest fraud ever prosecuted in Arkansas.

Lewis, a former Little Rock attorney, is serving his time at the Federal Correctional Institution in Memphis, a medium security facility for men.

Lewis, 43, was sentenced in December by U.S. District Judge James Moody. But Moody allowed Lewis to delay the start of his sentence so he could spend more time with his dying father, Harold Lewis.

Lewis was sent to prison for inventing a fake special improvement district bonds scheme that cost Arkansas banks some $50 million and ruined First Southern Bank of Batesville.
