In the northwest part of the state, KFSM-TV, Channel 5, has added a new anchor.
The station announced late last month that Liza Danver is joining the weeknight news team. Danver will appear at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. with co-anchor Daren Bobb and Chief Meteorologist Garrett Lewis.
KFSM said Danver has worked at several stations in several markets, including WMBD-TV in Peoria, Illinois, WFIE-TV in Evansville, Indiana, WISH-TV in Indianapolis and most recently WKEF-TV in Dayton, Ohio.
News Director Bill Cummings worked with Danver at WFIE-TV, the station said in a news story posted on its website.
“It’s a reunion for Liza and me as I saw firsthand her determination tracking down news and attention to detail as a reporter/anchor at the number one news operation,” Cummings said in the story.
