Kim Miller, a registered nurse and board-certified fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, will become president of Baptist Health’s Western Region on April 20.
She will succeed Harrison Dean, who is retiring after 37 years with Baptist Health.
Miller will oversee the system’s hospitals in Fort Smith and Van Buren as well as affiliated physician clinics. She will oversee about 1,600 employees.
Miller most recently served as president and CEO of Beaver Dam Community Hospitals Inc. in Wisconsin. Miller, who has more than 40 years of health care experience, received a master’s degree in business administration from St. Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania.
Drs. Jovan Baker, Kris De Nagel, Renee Frederick, Marvin Go, Ijanae Holman-Allgood, Joshua Johnson, Rachel Mauldin, Jason Oum, Jacqueline Thorpy and A.J. Zeto are the new family medicine residents in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ northwest Arkansas program. Dr. Ryan Sorell is the new sports medicine fellow at UAMS starting in July.
Drs. Raad Abbas, Mamua Andela, Ethan Anderson, Sahiba Bajwa, Alex Belote, Alshaimaa Hazaa, Dalton Hoose, Erika Jasso, Vivek Malhotra, Yash Shah, Punith Thogaripally and Eric Peeler are new community internal medicine residents for UAMS in northwest Arkansas.
Drs. Dylan Cruz, Olufadejimi “Jimmy” Kareem, Ross Lenzen and Clayton Preston are new family medicine residents at Conway Regional Health System. Cruz, originally of Helena, Lenzen, of Greenwood, and Preston, of White Hall, are 2020 graduates of the NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine in Jonesboro. Kareem, of Toronto, is a 2019 graduate of Windsor University School of Medicine in St. Kitts & Nevis.
