Kinco Wins $9.12M Contract to Build Downtown Office BuildingLock Icon

Kinco Constructors LLC of Little Rock landed a $9.12 million contract to build a four-story office building for the Association of Arkansas Counties (AAC) at 1415 W. Third St. in downtown Little Rock.

The project is an expansion of AAC’s existing headquarters at that address. It’s being built on a half-acre parcel that the nonprofit  purchased for $1.24 million in January 2024 from the Arkansas Education Association.

After the purchase, AAC Executive Director Chris Villines explained the need for the organization to expand.

“In the last few years, we have gone from representing 42 of our counties in risk management to all 75,”  he said in a post on AAC’s website. “We’ve also grown our worker’s compensation program to handle all 75 counties as well.”

The organization also moved most of its legal defense in-house.

“We’ve undergone a major growth phase, going from about 20 to approximately 40 employees over the last 15 years — and my how the service to our counties has increased,” he wrote.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion was held in November.
