Kudos: Arkansas businesses receive recognition

  • Kinco Constructions LLC of Little Rock received an American Buildings Co. Excellence in Design Award for its roofing of Cavalry Baptist Church in Little Rock, and it went on to earn the Roof of the Year Award for the same project. The Roof of the Year Award is one of two top awards granted annually by ABC to the builder or roofer who shows the highest level of innovation and distinction in design.
  • A survey of Principal Financial Group’s 10 Best Companies conducted by Harvard Business Review Analytic Services found that the concern Southwest Power Pool shows for the long-term financial security of its employees translates into increased employee engagement, stronger customer relationships and deeper organizational expertise.  Based in Little Rock, Southwest Power Pool was included in the Principal 10 Best Companies program in 2005 because of its strong commitment to employee financial security.
  • For the second year in a row, FOX16 News received the award for best newscast at the annual Arkansas Associated Press Awards. FOX16 was also honored with first place for best website while Donna Terrell, Kevin Kelly, David Goins and Geoff Mayfield received first place for news coverage.
  • Kitchen Tune-Up franchisees Charles and Susan Johnson of Little Rock received the company’s National Customer Service Award for April 2012. They were selected for the award based on customer comments.
  • Innerplan Office Interiors of North Little Rock was recognized by Haworth Inc. as a 2012 Best in Class dealership. It was given this distinction based on its exceptional performance in market development, sales, customer satisfaction, operational excellence and enterprise development.
