Labor Force Participation Rate Stands at 58% for Arkansas

The labor force participation rate was 58% for Arkansas in August, while that for the United States as a whole stood at 62.7%.

Michael Pakko, chief economist at the Arkansas Economic Development Institute at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, noted on his blog last month that that 58% participation rate was “essentially the same as the rate that prevailed during 2019,” before the COVID-19 pandemic.
