Layne’s Chicken Fingers Sets Opening for North Little Rock Location

The new Layne’s Chicken Fingers coming to 3711 McCain Blvd. in North Little Rock should open sometime between the first and middle of June.

That’s the word from Jake Willett, who signed a 10-store development agreement with the chain, based in Frisco, Texas. Willett, who moved from Texarkana, Texas, to Roland, opened his first Layne’s, at 2110 Arkansas 5 in Benton, in December. He’s hoping to open his third location, at the corner of Chenal Parkway and Cantrell Road, by the end of October.

As for what sets Layne’s apart, Willett touts its menu, particularly its spicy tender, and “from an operational standpoint, I think we’ve got a great team that does a great job.”

Willett says he’s not worried about the quick-serve chicken restaurant category becoming oversaturated, noting that the United States is home to at least twice as many burger restaurants as chicken restaurants. “It’s a growing market segment,” he said.
