Leggett Earns Honors from City Clerks (Movers & Shakers)

April Leggett, the Jonesboro deputy city clerk who has run meetings in City Council chambers for several months, earned Certified Municipal Clerk Designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. With the certification, Leggett was also designated a Certified Arkansas Municipal Clerk.

Sherry Chesser, a member of Landmark PLC, has been appointed to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Auditing Standards Board.

Chesser works in the Little Rock office of Landmark. She focuses on the assurance and bond arbitrage areas and has expertise in tax-exempt debt compliance, employee benefit plans and nonprofit organizations. Before joining Landmark in 2006, Chesser spent 15 years with other public accounting firms, providing tax and audit services, and also was a controller for a nonprofit organization.

Randy Milligan, a co-managing member of Landmark, has been appointed chairman of the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants in Little Rock. He also serves as a continuing professional education instructor for the ARCPA and is on the peer review committee for Arkansas, Alabama and Mississippi and the AICPA Ethics Enforcement Subcommittee. He is a trustee for the Arkansas Game & Fish Foundation and serves on the boards of the Arkansas Committed to Education Foundation and the Conway Chamber of Commerce.
