Levi Hospital in Hot Springs has named a new marketing director, Libby Harrington.

Harrington, former community engagement director for Garland County Habitat for Humanity, succeeds longtime marketing and development chief Jackie Arrison.

Arrison plans to retire in October after 10 years at Levi, a mental and physical therapy provider.

At Habitat for Humanity, Harrington organized events, managed volunteers and led fundraising. The Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce honored her as a 2022  “Rising Star.”

In a news release, Harrington said she was honored to step into the new role.

“Jackie Arrison left an incredible legacy of community involvement and advocacy for mental health, and I’m excited to build on that foundation. I’m passionate about connecting with our community and promoting health and wellness in Hot Springs, and this position offers the perfect opportunity to do just that.”

Arrison said she was proud of her time and achievements at Levi, “from supporting organizations like Ouachita Children, Youth and Family Services to raising awareness about mental health.”

Arrison led the hospital’s “Community Champion” sponsorship of  the Out of the Darkness Walk. She also helped launch the annual World Mental Health Day Luncheon, which promotes mental health care regionally. The chamber named her its 2018 woman of the year.

Zane Jeffers, Levi’s president and CEO, described Arrington as a “true champion” for the hospital. “Her impact on our organization and the broader Hot Springs community is immeasurable.”

He welcomed Harrington, citing her passion and dedication and “proven track record in community engagement and marketing.”

One of Harrington’s first key events will be the second annual World Mental Health Day Luncheon Oct. 10. The luncheon will be at the Creativity and Innovation Complex on the campus of the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts in Hot Springs.
