University of Arkansas System President Donald Bobbitt announced Wednesday that he is recommending Lisa Willenberg as the next chancellor at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton, effective Nov. 1.
Willenberg serves as vice chancellor for finance and operations at UACCM.
Bobbitt’s recommendation is subject to final approval by the UA board of trustees. If approved, she will be the school’s first woman chancellor.
The former chancellor, Larry Davis, announced his retirement in November 2018 after serving for nine years at the college. Diana Arn, vice chancellor of academic services at UACCM, has served as interim chancellor.
Willenberg joined UACCM 27 years ago as a general accountant. She became a vice chancellor in 2011. She also has served as an adjunct instructor of accounting at UACCM.
Willenberg earned her master’s degree in education at the University of Arkansas and her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Arkansas.
She also graduated from the College Business Management Institute at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
