The Little Rock Advertising & Promotion Commission is suing to try to shut down another city eatery.
In a complaint filed last week, attorney Alex T. Gray wrote that the Legacy Bistro & Bar at 625 W. Capitol Ave. was operating without an A&P permit and had not responded to a March 25 notice. Gray wrote that the restaurant also owed an unknown amount in unpaid A&P taxes from its sales in 2014 and 2015.
Gray asked the court to enter an injunction preventing the restaurant from operating without a permit.
The restaurant is owned by Shellie Ming, according to the complaint. Ming has not responded to the lawsuit and did not return an email message seeking comment last week.
According to court records, the A&P Commission has successfully brought a complaint against another Ming-owned restaurant. Last year, Pulaski County Circuit Judge Wendell Griffen granted the commission a default judgment against Ming and her Bruno’s Italian Bistro, at 315 N. Bowman Road, over unpaid A&P taxes.
The default judgment came after Ming failed to respond to that complaint.
