The AT&T Building at 1111 W. Capitol Ave. in Little Rock (Tre Baker)
PR Contractors LLC of Greeneville, South Carolina, has won a $10.08 million contract to convert office space to apartments at the former AT&T Building in downtown Little Rock.
Georgia developer Pace Burt acquired the 10-story, 314,498-SF building at 1111 W. Capitol Ave. for $2 million in late 2020.
Burt told Arkansas Business in 2021 that he was planning 120 apartment units for the building. He said the building’s windowless second floor could be used for climate-controlled storage.
Burt is behind the redevelopment of the former Veterans Administration hospital in Little Rock’s South Main neighborhood. Leasing at the historic property, now known as The Flats at SoMa, began this year.
