Little Rock Christian Academy has unveiled plans for a $3.25 million expansion encompassing a mix of new construction and renovation work.
The centerpiece is Warrior Hall, a new 22,000-SF facility that will house the upper school band, choir, drama and visual arts with seating for 750.
The current fine arts center at the west Little Rock campus will be reconfigured for use by grades 5-6.
The elementary activities center will be redeveloped into a 15,000-SF athletic complex. Elementary art and technology classrooms will be moved to the main elementary building.
Groundbreaking for the project is planned for this summer, with completion expected by August 2013.
The private school, founded in 1977 as Walnut Valley Christian Academy, has an enrollment of 1,405 with students ranging from 3 to 18 years old.
LRCA relocated to its current 53-acre location at 19010 Hwy. 10 in 1997, followed by the name change for the 2001-02 school year.
