The value of residential and commercial construction projects was up in Little Rock last year and remained steady in Fayetteville compared with 2024 levels.

In Little Rock last year, the city issued residential and commercial building permits with a total valuation of $1.28 billion. The projects brought in $2.4 million in permit revenue to the city, according to city records. Those figures are up from 2024 when the city issued permits with a total valuation of $1.01 billion and permit revenue of $2.12 million.
Large projects in Little Rock last year included a $32 million rehabilitation hospital at The District at Midtown at Interstate 630 and University Avenue, a $30.56 million expansion of an airplane hangar at Dassault Falcon Jet, and a $16 million geothermal project at the Bill & Hillary Clinton National Airport.
In Fayetteville last year, the city issued building permits with a total value of $946.73 million and permit revenue of $6.18 million. The total value was up less than 1% from 2024 when the city issued permits for a total valuation of $939.58 million and permit revenue of $5.31 million.
Large projects in Fayetteville last year included the new $41.38 million Woodland Junior High School on Joyce Road, a $22 million project to convert John L. Colbert Middle School into a junior high school on Rupple Road, and a $9.18 million Givingtons office-warehouse project on East Pump Station Road.
