When PGA golf tournaments come to mind, one doesn’t usually think of the condition the turf is in. But that’s exactly what Clark Carroll, owner of Little Rock Lawns, thinks of.
"The course has to be in pristine shape," Carroll said.
Carroll has worked on golf courses for 15 years, after developing a passion for landscaping in his teens. He received a bachelor’s degree in turf management from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, and said he had always wanted to have his own landscaping service.
Little Rock Lawns officially opened April 1, and Carroll said business was picking up. For now, he’s the only employee, but he expects he’ll be hiring more crew members in the near future.
Carroll performs all aspects of lawn and outdoor care, including mowing, trimming, mulching, sodding, pressure washing, sprinkler repair, outdoor cleanup, retaining walls and more.
"There are people out there that want to have a nice yard," he said. "If you have an [outdoor] issue, I want to be the person you call. I want to do everything for your lawn."
