Little Rock Port Lands New AcreageLock Icon

1 min read

Did you know the holdings overseen by the Little Rock Port Authority recently grew by more than 330 acres in a cashless transaction?

The heirs of Walter Isgrig donated the property, dominated by islands in and wetlands along the Arkansas River. Though not developable, the property is still useful for the Little Rock Port Industrial Park.

“The donation gives us opportunities to expand the area to dock barges and wetlands for conservation credit purposes,” said Bryan Day, executive director of the Little Rock Port Authority. “We are so honored and grateful for the family to give it to us.”

Some might recall the Isgrig family owned the lion’s share of about 800 acres that was assembled for nearly $4 million in 2007 for the Welspun Pipes development at 9301 Frazier Pike.
