The Little Rock Realtors Association has named BJ Matthews as CEO.
He replaces Stacy Hamilton, who is moving on from the role after slightly more than a year.
Hamilton said in a Facebook post that she’s joining Little Rock real estate agency Hathaway Group to “help them navigate” through the loss of Stacey Moore, the company’s former director of operations. Moore died in February at age 57.
Matthews, a Brown Springs native, joins the Little Rock Realtors Association from the Arkansas Realtors Association (ARA), where he was chief of communications. In that role, he oversaw major communications initiatives while serving as staff liaison to key committees. Most notably, as coordinator of Hearts and Homes of Arkansas — the association’s charitable foundation — he orchestrated the distribution of over $4 million in disaster relief funding across three tornado recovery efforts.
Matthews graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a public relations and communication degree. Before association management, he held roles in advertising and marketing and as a licensed real estate agent.
