Little Rock Tourism Bureau Unveils Mobile Visitors Center

The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau on Thursday unveiled a new mobile visitors center aimed at promoting the city and its experiences.

The Ford van — which features the city’s “Big On Little Rock” slogan on the exterior, a mounted TV that slides out from the rear, and a brochure station — serves as a roving billboard for the city. It’s equipped with interactive displays and an informational exhibit that provide visitors with a visual experience of Little Rock’s attractions, events and amenities.

In a news release, the bureau said the van will also be used to gather data while it’s in other cities to market Little Rock. When the van is positioned in Little Rock, it will gather visitor profile data including their origin, length of stay, and attractions and locations visited. The data will help LRCVB develop marketing strategies.

“We are proud to introduce the mobile visitor center, which will play a vital role in showcasing Little Rock to a broader audience,” LRCVB President and CEO Gina Gemberling said. “This mobile unit will allow us to service visitors in our city at various tourism attractions and events, as well as in feeder cities which can help us promote our city as a leisure travel destination.”

The LRCVB is seeking input from the public to name the van. Submissions are being accepted Feb. 29-March 28 on the bureau’s website.

The final name will be unveiled in early April on social media.
