Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority Names Douglas Roe as Director of Accounting and Finance (Movers & Shakers)

Douglas Roe has been hired as the director of accounting and finance at the Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority. In his new role, he oversees accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, procurement and customer service, and is responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, annual budgets and managing audits.


Brian Hollis (Black Hills Energy)

Brian Hollis has been promoted to northeast Arkansas division manager at Black Hills Energy in Blytheville. Hollis was the company’s volunteer of the year for Arkansas in 2023 and has served on the boards of the Mississippi County Regional Chamber of Commerce, Manila Lions Club and Arkansas Gas Association.


Sunny Raheem has been promoted to director of system planning for the engineering department at Southwest Power Pool in Little Rock. Raheem will oversee the company’s transmission planning, planning policy and research functions.


Thomas Smith has been appointed general counsel of trust and wealth management at Community First Trust in Hot Springs. In this role, Smith will serve as in-house counsel as well as help build a division dedicated to the administration of special-needs trusts and asset-protection trusts.


Sarah Sutton (McGhee Insurance Agency)

Sarah Sutton of McGhee Insurance Agency in Little Rock has been named the recipient of the 2024 Outstanding Customer Service Representative of the Year for Arkansas by the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance. Sutton has been with McGhee since 2006 and holds both the Certified Insurance Service Representative and Certified Insurance Counselor designations.
