Longhorn Steakhouse Coming to FayettevilleLock Icon

1 min read

No doubt Arkansas Razorbacks fans will get stoked when the Texas Longhorns visit Saturday for a college football game.

The football team isn’t the only Longhorn coming to Fayetteville. Longhorn Steakhouse is planning to set up shop on North Shiloh Drive in Fayetteville, a business center that is anchored by Kohl’s and Target department stores.

The site is the former home of Grub’s Uptown, which closed in July. Darden Restaurants of Orlando, Florida, paid $2.05 million for the 6,400-SF restaurant in a deal that closed at the end of August.

The seller was David Dallas through his FUG Holdings LLC, who purchased the building for $1.665 million in 2015.

He had a lease agreement with Grub’s owner Matt Christie that was terminated when the restaurant closed; Christie owns the Grub’s in downtown Fayetteville.

Darden also operates Olive Garden restaurants, one of which is located just up the road from the new Longhorn Roadhouse location. Darden also has a Longhorn Steakhouse restaurant in Rogers.
