LRCVB Hires Olumide Yerokun as Marketing Director

The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau announced Tuesday that Olumide Yerokun will be its director of marketing.

With more than a decade of marketing experience, Yerokun will manage promotional strategies and efforts to boost tourism in Little Rock.

Bureau President and CEO Gina Gimberling said Yerokun was already off to a great start.

“Olumide’s social media and marketing experience will serve him well in planning promotional efforts for the LRCVB, and we look forward to seeing him put his plans into action,” Gimberling said in a statement.

Yerokun was previously a client account manager for Bayard Advertising, an agency based in New York. Before that job, he led social media strategies for Hendrix College in Conway, GWL Advertising in Little Rock and Albright Ideas, another Little Rock firm. He also was a social media director for ACANA (the African Cultural Alliance of North America) and led content and marketing strategy for One Tribe Magazine.

“I am thrilled with the opportunity to join the marketing team,” Yerokun said in a news release. “With my experience and passion for driving innovative marketing strategies, I am eager to contribute to the LRCVB’s growth and success by creating impactful campaigns that position the city as a regional leader.”

Yerokun earned his bachelor’s degree in business marketing from Morehouse College in Atlanta. He was raised in Little Rock and lived in Georgia and Pennsylvania before returning to to central Arkansas in 2016.
