Mark Wilson Promoted to SVP/Chief Credit Officer at First Arkansas Bank & Trust (Movers & Shakers)

Mark Wilson, who has been with First Arkansas Bank & Trust of Jacksonville since 2001, has been promoted to senior vice president and chief credit officer. Since he joined the bank as a loan officer, Wilson has been involved in supervising online banking, debit cards and the Customer Service Call Center. In his new role, Wilson will oversee the bank’s commercial and consumer lending activities, as well as chair the loan committee, which evaluates loan requests.

Faviola Alba, with 15 years of banking experience, has been hired by Arvest Bank as consumer loan manager for the central Arkansas market. Formerly a branch manager at Bank of America, Alba will now be responsible for the management and development of the Arvest’s consumer lending program.

Patrick McCollough has been named the Terry McEachern Internal Auditor of the Year by the Association of Credit Union Internal Auditors. McCollough is director of internal audit for Arkansas Federal Credit Union of Jacksonville. McCollough, who has 18 years of experience, has been with AFCU for seven years.

Scott Lambert and Johnathon Welch have been promoted to bank junior examiner for the Arkansas State Bank Department. Lambert and Welch joined the department in early 2013 as bank examiner trainees. From 2010 until early 2013, Lambert worked as a credit analyst at the Farmers & Merchants Bank in Stuttgart. Welch formerly worked as trust coordinator at Merchants & Planters Bank in Newport.

Government

Becca Green has been hired as director of public engagement at Central Arkansas Transit Authority, the Little Rock public transportation service. Green formerly worked as director of marketing and communications at ACCESS, a nonprofit in Little Rock that serves those with learning and developmental disabilities.

Sen. David Johnson, D-Little Rock, has been given the Distinguished Legislator Award by the Arkansas Municipal League. The award was presented for Johnson’s “strong support of cities and towns in Arkansas during the 90th General Assembly,” according to the official announcement. The Municipal League is a service and advocacy group for cities in Arkansas.

Greg Churan, a sales account executive for Arkansas Business for more than three years, has joined Flex360 as its director of sales. In his new position, Churan oversees website proposals, programmatic intranet marketing and strategies for clients. Flex360 is a division of Arkansas Business Publishing Group.

Laura Jones, Travis Kersh and Katy Foster have been hired by the Rogers office of Rockfish, a marketing and advertising firm. Jones has joined as an experience strategy architect and will work with strategy, creative and technology teams in developing digital campaigns for Rockfish’s clients. Kersh, now a developer for Rockfish, will help build websites and mobile applications. Foster will be a digital strategist, working on research concerning strategic and digital marketing initiatives for major Rockfish accounts.

Education

Florence Lebois has been named director of international programs at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville. Lebois, a native of France, had served since 2012 as director of international advancement at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois.

Technology

Danielle Collie has joined ClearPointe of Little Rock, an information technology service company, as an account manager. Collie joined her family’s business, American Imaging, after she graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. In 2012, she helped found American Mobile Shredding in Little Rock, a company that provides on-site shredding services.
