Something food related appears to be going into 515 Shall Ave. in Little Rock, the former home of Cathead’s Diner, but your Whispers staff is not sure exactly what.
Building permits indicate a $600,000 remodel of the space in the East Village has been underway, and something called “Sterling Market” has been incorporated at that address, with Fidel Samour as the incorporator. Coffee lovers will know Samour as the “Fidel” behind Fidel & Co. Coffee Roasters at 500 Shall Ave.
The Arkansas Department of Health website indicates food service is involved in the permitting process.
The building, known as the Paint Factory, houses the 12 Star Flats, a mix of studio and two-bedroom apartments, on the second floor.
We shot an email to Samour, and Tara Stokes kindly responded, but declined to provide details, saying, “I work with a group that is putting something in that building, and we are actually hoping to release all of that information next week.”
