McCain Sears Site Sells for $2.3M (Real Deals)Lock Icon

A 13.36-acre piece of the McCain Mall property weighed in at $2.36 million.

Anchor Realty Investments LLC, led by Alan and Jessica Bubbus, purchased the land and the 159,000-SF former Sears store at 3929 McCain Blvd.

The seller is Seritage SRC Finance LLC, an affiliate of New York’s Seritage Growth Properties, a July 2015 spinoff of Sears Roebuck & Co.

The deal is financed with a two-year loan of $900,000 from Simmons Bank of Pine Bluff.

Sears received the land at no cost in November 1971 from Metropolitan Trust Co., led by Justin Matthews III.

Landmark Transaction

A 198-unit mini-storage project in the Landmark community rang up a $743,157 sale.

MMJ Real Estate LLC of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, acquired the 2.23-acre Landmark Storage development at 15915 Arch Street Pike and an adjoining 0.96-acre parcel.

The sellers are Landmark Storage LLC, led by Robert Stephens and Rodney Turchi; and the Jerry Bell Stephens & Wynelle E. Stephens Family Trust. The deal is backed with a $594,525 loan from Central Bank of Little Rock.

The land was purchased in two deals with Danny and Charlotte Gibbs, $34,000 in August 1981 and $6,000 in September 1981.

Industrial Land

A 24.91-acre site for a carton production facility in the Little Rock Port Industrial Park drew a $520,900 transaction.

Elopak Inc. of Wixom, Michigan, bought the land on the west side of Zeuber Road near the Amazon fulfillment center at 7001 Zeuber Road from the city of Little Rock and the Little Rock Port Authority.

The property was acquired as part of three transactions with Marcus Bryant, $440,000 in July 2017; Spirit Adventures Inc., led by John Toney, $95,000 in April 2020; and James and Lisa Herrin, $53,423 in July 2020.

Downtown Parking

A half-acre piece of downtown Little Rock sold for $335,000.

JWB Co., led by Matthew Vandiver, purchased the parking lot at the southwest corner of Seventh and Cross streets.

The seller is Banyan Capital Investments LLC, led by Bryan Hosto and Lauren Frederick.

Banyan Capital bought the property for $200,000 in October from Goodwill Industries of Arkansas Inc., led by Brian Marsh.

Pharmacy Sale

A 1,131-SF pharmacy in Jacksonville is under new ownership after a $215,000 deal.

White County Medical Center acquired the 811 Marshall Road project from Shannon Rodgers.

Rodgers purchased the 0.11-acre development for $144,000 in February 2022 from Benton & Huckabee LLC, led by Gary Benton.

Sologne Circle

A 5,626-SF home in west Little Rock’s Sologne Circle neighborhood tipped the scales at $1.6 million.

Matthew Gray bought the house from Alex Dapron. The deal is financed with a 30-year loan of $1.2 million from Central Bank.

Dapron acquired the residence for $910,000 in November 2020 from the estate of Garry Glasco.

Heights Abode

A new 3,338-SF home in the Heights area of Little Rock changed hands in an $885,000 transaction.

Aaron and Kathryn Brown purchased the house from HBH Builders Inc., led by Howard Boyce Holmes. The deal is funded with a 30-year loan of $708,000 from Arvest Bank of Fayetteville.

HBH bought the original 1,400-SF residence for $225,000 in December 2022 from Rector Phillips Morse Inc., led by Kris Upton.

Heritage Park Circle

A 7,345-SF home in North Little Rock’s Heritage Park Circle neighborhood rang up a $787,500 sale. Dennis Family Holdings LLC, led by John and Anna Dennis, acquired the house.

The seller is CMJ Family Trust, led by Christopher and Meredith Johnson.

The deal is financed with a five-year loan of $1 million from Arkansas Federal Credit Union of Little Rock.

The trust purchased the residence for $675,000 in May 2014 from the estate of Charlotte Ashley.

Raines Road Residence

A 2,500-SF home in west Pulaski County drew a $610,000 transaction.

Kelsie Penny bought the house from Julia Redditt and Trevor Stevenson.

The deal is backed with a 30-year loan of $560,000 from FirstTrust Home Loans Inc. of Sheridan.

Redditt acquired the 8.96-acre location for $140,000 in August 2019 from Raines Road Properties LLC. The limited liability company is led by Danny and Janice Harris.

Downtown Plot

The Association of Arkansas Counties paid $1.2 million for an undeveloped half acre across from the state Capitol at the northeast corner of Fourth and Woodlane streets.

The land was sold by the Arkansas Education Association, which purchased the property in May 1978 as part of a $195,000 deal with Nomikano Inc., led by Kathryn Mehaffey.
