Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Arkansas Continued Care Hospital, established in 2007, operated as a community-focused long-term acute care hospital with 99 beds. The hospital at 3024 Red Wolf Blvd. reported a loss of $1.83 million on revenue of $69.23 million in 2023, according to [Arkansas Business’ 2024 list of hospitals and medical centers](https://www.arkansasbusiness.com/lists/98/hospitals-and-medical-centers/).

In a news release, Methodist said it will remodel the hospital to add safety features but offered few additional details. “Leadership of Methodist Family Health and Arkansas Continued Care are working together to create a timeline of events, which will be shared when available,” the release said.

Andy Altom, president and CEO of Methodist Family Health, said, “The leadership of Methodist Family Health and Arkansas Continued Care Hospital share the same vision in bringing an acute child and adolescent psychiatric hospital into the northeast Arkansas area. We are excited to be expanding services into northeast Arkansas and look forward to better serving the current psychiatric programs in the area.”
