
Michael Lindsey has been appointed to the board of directors of the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance. He serves as director of public affairs and government affairs for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in Bentonville. This includes working with elected officials on policy and legislation, assisting in siting local real estate projects and working on foundation giving outside of northwest Arkansas.
Maury Peterson has taken over as executive director of the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter. She previously was executive director at Parenting Journey of Boston, a national nonprofit focused on building stronger families. She brings 25 years of domestic and international nonprofit, foundation and corporate philanthropy experience to the shelter.
James “Drew” Waack has been hired as a mortgage adviser at United Federal Credit Union in Fort Smith. Waack will serve credit union members at the Jenny Lind branch.
Prior to joining UFCU, Waack served as a sales consultant and business development center team leader at Harry Robinson Buick GMC, crew manager and subcontractor with Williams Energy Efficiency, manager at Webby D’s and EMS program director and paramedic at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
Morgan S. Doughty has joined Harrington Miller, a full-service law firm in Springdale, as an attorney. Her areas of practice include family law, criminal defense law and creditor’s rights and collections. She previously worked at a Bentonville law firm for more than five years before joining Harrington Miller.
Dr. Randle Moore has joined the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture in Fayetteville as the director of the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. He was previously the resident director of the Texas A&M University Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory’s Poultry Diagnostic Laboratory in Center, Texas.
