Mike Boyd Named General Counsel for Farmers Bank & Trust

Farmers Bank & Trust of Magnolia has named Mike Boyd, a member of its board of directors, as executive vice president and general counsel.

The move takes effect July 1, the bank said in a news release. Boyd will remain on the board, which has been a member of since 2015.

“Adding Mike Boyd to our Farmers Bank & Trust team is a natural fit,” Chris Gosnell, the bank’s CEO and board chairman, said. “Mike’s extensive experience and vibrant community involvement will help the Bank for many years to come.”

Boyd is the managing partner for Bell Boyd & Jameson PLLC and city attorney for Magnolia. 

He holds a JD from the University of Arkansas School of Law and a bachelor’s from the U of A in broadcast journalism. 

Boyd is a board member of Magnolia Arts and a past president of the Magnolia Economic Development Corporation, Magnolia Unlimited, and Magnolia-Columbia County Chamber of Commerce.

Farmers has branches in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. It recently passed $2 billion in assets.
