Mimi San Pedro Announces Retirement from the Venture Center (Movers & Shakers)

Mimi San Pedro, chief strategy officer of the Venture Center in Little Rock, announced her retirement after five-and-a-half years of service with the organization. She will continue in a senior advisory role through December to ensure a smooth transition.

Also joining the board are Shana DeSmit, vice president, divisional merchandise manager, meat and seafood, at Sam’s Club of Bentonville, and Eric Fritts, vice president of sales for Tyson Foods of Springdale.

Scott Saffold, executive vice president and senior loan officer of Union Bank & Trust in Monticello, has been elected chairman of the University of Arkansas Foundation Inc.

Aaron Hilton has been named president of Lawrence Healthcare of Walnut Ridge.


Dixie Lozano (Arkansas Dental Centers-Pine Bluff)

Dr. Dixie Lozano has joined Arkansas Dental Centers-Pine Bluff, succeeding the retiring Dr. Maxwell Fleming.


Dushyant Ramakrishnan (CHI St. Vincent)

Dr. Dushyant Ramakrishnan has been hired at CHI St. Vincent Pulmonology & Critical Care in Little Rock.


Farees Farooq (Washington Regional)

Dr. Farees Farooq has been hired at Washington Regional Gastroenterology Clinic in Fayetteville.

Beverly Henry Wheeler, the interim director of admission at Hendrix College in Conway, has received the inaugural Beverly Henry Wheeler Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association for College Admission Counseling.

Sheila Pearson, associate professor of information systems, was named the Southern Arkansas University Honor Professor for 2024 at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia.
