Missouri-Based OzArc Gas Acquires Assets From Island Energy of Paragould

1 min read

Correction: A previous version of this story suggested that OzArc Gas acquired the entirety of Island Energy. OzArc Gas only acquired the company’s forklift cylinder exchange assets.

OzArc Gas Equipment & Supply Inc. of Cape Girardeau, Missouri has acquired the forklift cylinder exchange assets of bulk and cylinder propane supplier Island Energy Inc. of Paragould.

Meritus Gas Partners of New York, the parent company of OzArc Gas, announced the deal but did not disclose terms of the transaction. In a statement, Meritus said the acquisition will expand OzArc’s capabilities and geographic reach.

Island Energy’s services include residential propane, tank rentals, farm services and industrial forklift cylinder exchange. It has clients throughout northeast Arkansas. The company announced May 21 that it had expanded service to Missouri with a 30,000-gallon bulk propane plant.
