Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce said Tuesday that Mitch Chandler has been named its chief operating officer, replacing Gary Newton, who left to start an education initiative.
“Mitch brings a diverse background in television news, video production, marketing, government service and public relations,” Jay Chesshir, the chamber’s president and CEO, said in a news release. “He will complement our professional staff nicely, and we’re excited he’s joining our chamber team.”
Chandler was senior vice president at Martin-Wilbourn Partners, a marketing and advertising firm based in Little Rock.
Before that, he was director of business development at Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods of Little Rock and director of communications at the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. He has also worked for four Little Rock commercial network television stations.
