More Employee Changes at Democrat-Gazette

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette last week named Bobby Ampezzan the new editor of its High Profile section.

Ampezzan is a features writer for the daily newspaper. He is scheduled to start the new position Dec. 3.

Ampezzan replaces Rachel Chaney, who is leaving the daily newspaper to work as communcations director of the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Foundation in Little Rock.

In addition, the Dem-Gaz is advertising a job opening for an editor to oversee three zoned publications.

Breanna Wells, niche publications manager for the Dem-Gaz, said in an email that she hopes to fill the position by the end of November.

The editor will replace Donnie Sewell, who left the position Nov. 9.

The zoned publications are the twice-weekly River Valley & Ozark Edition, Three Rivers Edition and the Tri-Lakes Edition.

The zoned editions are inserted on Sundays and Thursdays in the daily newspaper.
