Ed Ellis has joined Harrison Energy Partners, based in Little Rock, as the new project manager. Ellis has 35 years of energy conservation experience, and his responsibilities will include the development and implementation of commercial energy conservation projects.
Engineering
Kim Needy, head of industrial engineering at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, is the new president-elect of the Institute of Industrial Engineers. She assumed her new role April 1 and will continue as the institute’s chief financial officer for the next year.
Financial Services
Ben Wallace and Cameron Lorenzo have been hired as account executives at Little Rock investment firm Crews & Associates Inc. Both will work with banks, trusts, investment managers and insurance companies, as well as state and local governments, to execute fixed-income securities.
Joey Small, a financial adviser with Ameriprise Financial in Little Rock, has been named by Barron’s magazine one of it "Top 1,000 Advisors." He was ranked as No. 1 in Arkansas in 2011 and 2012. Small was chosen based on assets under management, revenue produced for the firm, client satisfaction and regulatory and compliance record.
Hospitality
Kurt Schatzl, general manager of the Embassy Suites Hot Springs, recently received a State Leadership Award given by the American Hotel & Lodging Association. The award is given to standout members who help implement and strengthen programs.
Legal
Price C. Gardner of Little Rock has been named vice chairman of the law firm Friday Eldredge & Clark. He has been with the firm since 1989, and his focus is corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and real estate.
Media/Marketing
Chris Clark of Bentonville has joined Collective Bias as a project manager. Clark has experience in sales and operations at Nordstrom Inc., and his most recent position was project manager at Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
Nonprofits
Dr. Delbra Caradine of Little Rock, Bob Childers of Des Arc, Peggy Cromwell of Maumelle, Stacy Duckett of North Little Rock, Courtney Little of Little Rock and Betty Pickett of Conway have been elected to the board of directors of CareLink, a nonprofit based in North Little Rock. CareLink provides older people and their caregivers with information and resources to help them stay active and in their own homes.
Technology/Telecommunications
Tony Cristee has joined telecommunications company TeleComp of Bentonville as the business development manager. Cristee will be working in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri and Kansas.
