Architecture
Paul Heck and Tim Layendecker have been hired as associates at SCM Architects. Previously with Cyntergy Architecture, Heck is in the firm’s Fayetteville office and is working on the renovation of Hotz Hall at the University of Arkansas and the Harding University Northwest Arkansas Professional Center’s new satellite campus in Rogers. Layendecker is working on the Garrison Center Renovation at Henderson State University and the University of Arkansas Housing Master Plan. He joined SMC Architects’ Little Rock office from Dallas, where he was with Dewberry, an architecture, engineering and consulting firm.

Education
Dani Porter-Lansky has been named the director of development for the University of Arkansas Libraries. Porter comes to Fayetteville from Las Vegas, where she worked as a librarian.

Finance
Jacob Hester has joined the team at AgHeritage Farm Credit Services. He will be working at the company’s Pocahontas branch.

Brenda Nance and Shannon Robinson have been promoted to assistant vice presidents at Simmons First National Bank in Pine Bluff. Nance is a manager for bank card new accounts, and Robinson is a bankruptcy collector and credit system administrator.

Health Care
Peggy Starling and Julia Kettlewell have been promoted within the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care in Little Rock. Starling is now the vice president for Medicaid services and provider strategy, and Kettlewell is the assistant vice president for quality programs.

Legal
Joyce Williams Warren of Little Rock has been named Judge of the Year by the National CASA Association, which is the Court Appointed Special Advocates for children program. A juvenile court judge since 1983, Warren was honored for her collaborative efforts to improve the quality of advocacy for children in and out of the courtroom.

Media/Marketing
Elizabeth Luttrell, Molly Morrison, Lauren Thompson and Alexander Gallegos have joined The Sells Agency, a marketing firm with offices in Little Rock and Fayetteville. Luttrell is the new art director, Morrison is a copywriter, Thompson will serve as an account executive, and Gallegos will be a project manager for the agency’s interactive division, Pixel Perfect Creative.

Vianca Cruz has been named an associate account executive of Hispanic markets for Little Rock marketing firm The Design Group. Cruz will assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and use on behalf of the company’s clients.

Transportation
James Cummins of Enid, Okla., Augustine Fredrich of Little Rock and Margaret Peterson of Tucson, Ariz., have been inducted into the Arkansas River Hall of Fame by the Arkansas River Historical Society.
