Construction
Adam Bearden has been promoted to project manager at East-Harding Inc., a Little Rock construction company. Bearden previously served as an assistant project manager and has worked on projects at the Central Arkansas Library System, the Museum of Discovery, the Country Club of Little Rock, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

Education
Perry Wilson, a Little Rock attorney, has been elected chairman of the board of trustees at Lyon College in Batesville. Others elected include Stephen Williams as vice chair, Ricky Davis as secretary and Charles Whiteside III as treasurer.

Engineering
Mac Hogan recently received the
 Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Arkansas College of Engineering. Hogan serves as chairman of Jacksonville hardwood floor company PoloPlaz Inc.

Government
Gene Higginbotham will be joining the Arkansas Waterways Commission as the new executive director, beginning June 1. Higginbotham will be leaving his position as the deputy district director for U.S. Representative Mike Ross.

Health Care
Dr. Bijay Nair has joined the staff at CARTI’s Little Rock Hematology-Oncology office. Nair recently served as an assistant professor at the Myeloma Institute for Research & Therapy at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

John Stansbury has been named director of radiology at UAMS. Stansbury previously served as administrative director of ancillary services and director of medical imaging at South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center, Fla. He is replacing Marvin Stricklin, who is retiring.

Hospitality
Marc Franklin has joined the team at the Hilton Little Rock Medical Center as a corporate sales manager. Franklin previously served as a corporate sales manager for Goff & Associates.

Legal
Craig Lair, Russell Bailey and Thomas Haynes II have joined the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock. Lair is returning to the firm and works in tax and corporate law. Bailey works in litigation, and Haynes practices corporate and securities law.

Media/Marketing
Donna Terrell, news anchor at KLRT-TV, Channel 16, in Little Rock, will receive the American Legion Fourth Estate Award from the American Legion. Terrell was chosen for her report "Grieving a Child."

Nonprofit
John Salina has been named sales and production manager at Richardson Industries of Springdale, a division of the Elizabeth Richardson Center, a nonprofit organization that serves individuals with disabilities. Salina’s past employment includes marketing and sales positions with Motorola, Honeywell and Lenovo.

Transportation
Tim Gorman, vice president of the Arkansas division of Rogers Group Inc., has been elected chairman of the board for the Arkansas Asphalt Pavement Association. Joining Gorman are John Regenhardt, general manager at Pine Bluff Sand & Gravel, as vice chairman and Benson Cashion, president of the Cashion Co. in Little Rock, as secretary-treasurer.
